Many people are coming into the clinic with pain in the same area: the SI joint.

This pain can show up around the lower back, hip, glute area, or one side of the pelvis. Sometimes it starts after gardening, bending forward, sitting too much, walking unevenly, or overloading the hips when the body is not ready.

When you bend forward again and again, especially with weak glutes, stiff hips, poor posture, or unsupported lower back, the SI joint can become irritated. If the hips are uneven or the glute muscles are not doing their job, the body starts compensating, and that can create more pressure in the SI joint and lower back.

In this video, we show a simple exercise that may help support the hips, activate the glutes, improve stability, and help prevent SI joint discomfort.

Remember: if you feel pain, sharp discomfort, nerve symptoms, or the problem keeps coming back, do not guess. Stop and see a specialist in your area. Every exercise should be done carefully and under proper guidance for your body.

Check your hips. Support your glutes. Protect your SI joint.
