A lot of people come in and say:
“My pain is right here — between my shoulder blades.”
So I ask a simple question:
“What do you do all day?”
And they say:
“Computer. Desk. Sitting. All day.”
Okay. Now we are getting somewhere.
Then I start working in the front — chest, shoulders, fascia, front kinetic line.
And they look at me like I’m crazy:
“No, no, no! My pain is in the BACK!”
Exactly.
That is the point.
If you sit all day with your shoulders rolled forward, your chest closed, your head forward, and your scapula pulled around the rib cage, the muscles between the shoulder blades are constantly being stretched and forced to hold you up.
They become tired.
They become overloaded.
And finally, they start screaming:
“Help me!”
So you massage the painful spot in the back.
It feels good.
For a week.
Maybe two.
Then the pain comes back.
Why?
Because you never changed the position that created the problem.
The front is still tight. The shoulders are still rounded. The chest is still closed. The back muscles are still working overtime.
So the better strategy is not just:
“Massage where it hurts.”
It is:
Open the front.Restore thoracic movement.Activate the scapula.Strengthen the back line.Change the posture that keeps feeding the pain.
Your body works in connected kinetic chains. One area becomes shortened and overactive, another area may become lengthened, tired, and weak.
That is why the painful spot is not always the real problem.
At Life RX Wellness, we look at the whole pattern — not just where you point your finger.
So next time you say:
“My pain is between my shoulder blades…”
Don’t be surprised if we start working somewhere else first.
Stop chasing the pain. Fix the pattern.
